each gear has a certain function. they are the following :
*note that when a gear says it reaches a max spd, it means from 0%
so if a car was already at 50% of its max spd and the current gear can reach 100% in 4 seconds,
since it was already at 50% it would onyl take 2 seconds to reach max spd.
If a car says its max spd is 60% and it takes 6 seconds to reach max spd, then it can only reach 60% in 6 seconds. a gear can have a time limit meaning that it can only be used for that long, and then it must rest for double the time limit before you can use it again.
Unless you switch to another gear, it will auto switch you to gear one once a time limit has been reached.
